Shrimp Fritter Recipe
Any kind of fruit may be made into fritters. If canned fruits are used, they should be drained from syrup. Apples and other fruits should be coarsely chopped, stirred into a plain fritter batter, and dropped by small spoonfuls into smoking hot fat. These recipes refer to hot fat or grease, but you may use oil or margarine. The choice of grease is up to you and your diet requirements.

POTATO SALAD
Boil potatoes that are firm and waxy when cooked, and cut them in slices; let them soak in ½ gill of water, grate a small onion and mix it with these; add pepper, salt, vinegar, and oil to taste. The quantity of oil should be about three times the amount of the vinegar used. Eat with Allinson wholemeal bread.
Ingredients-
  • 5 Cups cooked shrimp (chopped)
  • 1 Cup parsley (chopped)
  • 1 Cup flour
  • 3 tsp Baking powder
  • 2 Eggs
  • 1/2 Cup milk
  • 1/4 tsp Tabasco
  • 2 Cups cocktail sauce
  • Salt to taste
  • Directions-
  • Mix chopped shrimp with parsley.
  • Keep it aside.
  • Now mix flour, baking powder, egg, milk and Tabasco.
  • Blend this mixture to make a batter.
  • Add chopped shrimp to the batter.
  • Heat the oil.
  • Take small portions from this mixture and fry them till crisp.
  • Serve hot.
